My Experience as An Online Content Creator

In 2007, after my first child was born, I knew I had to find a way to make money so I could stay home with my kids.

So I started a food blog (Cheeseslave.com, which has now morphed into this site, AnnMarieMichaels.com).

Over the next few years, I grew my blog, Cheeseslave, to over 250K monthly unique website visitors and over 350,000 social media followers.

In 2008, I founded a blog network in the health & wellness space called Village Green Network.

In 5 years, I grew that network to 1,000 blogs and over $1.3 million annual revenue.

Did You Know Just Having a Small Business Can Save You Money on Taxes?

I've had my own home-based business for nearly 3 decades. When I was working in the corporate world, I always had a freelance "side hustle."  

Having a small business on the side has helped me make extra money over the years, but perhaps even more importantly, I have always saved a lot of money on my taxes.

In 2018, the average middle-income American family earning around $50,000 paid over $15,000 in taxes to federal, state, and local governments in 2018. This includes direct taxes, such as income taxes, as well indirect taxes, like payroll taxes. (Source)
