What I’m Growing: Strawberries, Fennel, Potatoes & Meyer Lemons
I am pretty proud of my garden so far this year. Kate and I planted a bunch of stuff back in January: lettuce, thyme, mint, dandelion, shallots, garlic, onion, peas, dill, and fennel.

Oysters for Breakfast at the Farmer’s Market
Every Saturday morning, Kate and I go to the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market and eat oysters for breakfast. This is a photo of her last weekend. She looks cranky but it’s really impatience. You can see the pile of shells on her lap, and she’s pointing and saying, “More!”

This may look like a toy car, but it is actually a shopping cart. They have these at the new Whole Foods in Venice, California. Kate had so much fun steering around the store and peeping the horn.
