Salmon Teriyaki I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love salmon teriyaki. It’s a sweet and delicious Japanese favorite, and most kids will love it.
Bangers and Mash Bangers and Mash is traditional English “pub food” consisting of mashed potatoes and sausages. It’s one of our family’s favorite meals in the fall and winter. It’s easy to make and everybody loves it. Bangers and Mash is typically served with steamed green peas and/or carrots.
Tom Yung Goong The weather is cooling and we’re getting closer to fall, and I’ve been craving soup. Tom Yung Goong, a Thai soup made with lemongrass and fresh lime, is one of my very favorite soups.
Ahi Poke Ahi poke (pronounced “POH-keh”) is a classic Hawaiian food. I love making ahi poke in the summertime, because it’s nice and cool. No need to heat up the oven.
Italian Chopped Salad One of my favorite summertime salads is an Italian chopped salad. We enjoy this at least once a week in the summer.
Brisket Tacos I love Tex Mex. It’s my comfort food. My very favorite Tex Mex meal in all the world is at a place called Mia’s Tex Mex in Dallas. The very best thing on the menu is their confoundingly fabulous and unforgettable brisket tacos.
New England Clam Chowder I may not be in New England, but I still crave clam chowder in the wintertime. Even here in Southern California, it’s comforting to have something warm and nourishing on a cold winter night. It may not be blustery cold and snowing in Los Angeles, we do feel the chill in our bones.
