Even though it’s officially fall, it’s still warm enough here in LA to have a lemonade stand. Every kid should have a lemonade stand. At five years old, this was Kate’s first.

Even though it’s officially fall, it’s still warm enough here in LA to have a lemonade stand. Every kid should have a lemonade stand. At five years old, this was Kate’s first.

Her friends from across the street came over to help.

Here they are putting up the signs. I was so proud of them. They did everything!
Except the actual making of the lemonade. I helped them with that. We used organic lemons, organic strawberries (from our CSA box), filtered water, and liquid stevia.

What a great salesperson! He went after every lead.

Even our mail lady.
And yes, she bought some lemonade. How could she not? The cuteness was overwhelming.

Our neighbor, Otto, also bought some.

That’s Doris, our Director of Operations at Village Green Network, buying some lemonade.

All in all, it was a smashing success. They made almost $4.00 and pocketed over $1 each.
There’s nothing as inspiring as budding entrepreneurs.
